                                                          Adoption Policies

                                                          • Adopters must be at least 18 years of age.
                                                          • Renters must have written or verbal permission from landlords.
                                                          • Selected cats or kittens may be held for verification of application information.
                                                          • Cats will not be adopted for the sole purpose of hunting and mousing, unless adopting a barn cat.
                                                          • Cats will not be released for research of any kind.
                                                          • All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered and are current on vaccinations prior to adoption.
                                                          • Adherence to all laws and ordinances is required.
                                                          • We strongly encourage a health exam for your cat(s) once adopted.
                                                          • Catlink encourages all adopters to keep cats indoors, in outside containment, or in a harness on a leash.
                                                          • We will not knowingly let a cat be adopted if the adopter plans to declaw the cat.  This is a cruel and inhumane practice that is outlawed in many countries.  If you are looking for a declawed cat, please contact us as we sometime get rescued cats that have already been declawed.
We ask for a $30 adoption fee per cat to offset the cost of care Catlink provides to all cats.  We offer adopters 65 and older a $20 adoption fee if they adopt an adult cat.

With your cat, you will receive an adoption kit that includes your cat’s medical record while in Catlink’s care, a cat care DVD, some cat treats, coupons and other gifts.
